As restaurants move to owned delivery, this is important

As computer vision in kitchens heats up, as well. “Watching” employees may be the same idea as “watching” your drivers.
David Gosman
34:32
I was wondering about that, as far as watching them in the kitchen with computer vision. I suppose that could be an opt-in as part of their employment contract.

These rules would stop the restaurant brand from having information on their end customer. Is the delivery app required to also offer an opt-out of saving your orders? That would protect against the delivery app from using your purchase history to cross-market other restaurants to you.
Bob Sloop Kaizen MGT
44:04
What would happen if restaurants dropped all 3rd party orders and used a delivery service
Angela Diffly - RTN

It’s also interesting when you think about players like Flytrex.

Given the amount of state and regional laws that impact privacy in the U.S. in different ways, how plausible is it that the U.S. could adopt a federal privacy law similar to GDPR?
Craig Kalie
56:59
To restaurant groups on here as a multiple food app user - how are you going to quickly explain to the customer that if you opt out then you don’t get the repeat buy button? I see this as a future challenge for you with an info sharing scared society yet people will be frustrated they can’t open the app and push buy again in 5 seconds.
Angela Diffly - RTN

What is Apple doing with our faces?
David Gosman
59:46
I don't believe they store data that could 'recreate' your face. I believe it's a one-way hash.
